How S6S measures AI visibility

S6S asks AI engines the questions your buyers ask, records every answer with its sources, and reports two separate scores: how visible you are in AI answers today, and how ready your website and reputation are for AI to find and recommend you.

Two scores, never blended

AI Visibility measures what AI engines actually say. It comes only from answers S6S could read, and it is scored separately for each kind of check (for example answers from the ChatGPT app, or ChatGPT and Perplexity search answers).

AI Readiness measures inputs you control: whether AI search engines may read your site, your website basics, your reputation on the sites AI answers cite, and the reasons a buyer would pick you. It is shown as a letter grade.

The two are never added together. A strong readiness grade does not raise your visibility score, and a readiness gap is a lead to work on, not proof that it is what holds you back. How scores work

What S6S keeps for every answer

Every answer belongs to one engine, one kind of check, one question, one market and one point in time, and keeps its sources.
An answer that failed, couldn't be read, or was never asked is kept apart from an answer that didn't name you. It is never counted as a zero.
Answers from an AI app and answers from an engine's search API are kept apart. One is never presented as the other.
A later check can show a change. It does not prove that a change you made caused it.
S6S never changes or publishes anything on your site. You approve and apply every fix yourself.

Which engines

A check asks ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini. For local businesses it also asks Google AI Mode, and any brand can turn on Google AI Overviews. Claude and Grok are not part of a check today. The free website check

A technical snapshot, no account needed

The public check at /audit reads one domain: whether S6S can fetch its homepage, whether the homepage text is readable without JavaScript, which business details it states in code (Organization, Product, FAQ and HowTo), and whether its robots.txt lets the AI search crawlers OAI-SearchBot (ChatGPT), PerplexityBot and Googlebot read it. It does not ask any AI engine and it does not calculate a score.

Current boundaries

S6S is in a supervised private beta. Accounts are by invitation; there is no self-service sign-up or checkout yet.
Engines, apps and markets change. The check record, not this page, is the authority for exactly how a given answer was collected.
Recommendations and drafts are suggestions for you to review. S6S does not publish anything for you.
